A Movement Born of Lived Truth

We didn’t come to this work through theory. We came through life.

Individually, we walk long roads of healing – learning to listen to our bodies, facing our shadows, soften protective patterns, and choosing truth even when it was uncomfortable. It was through that ongoing commitment to honest, curiosity, and presence that we found each other – not from need, but from alignment.

Our relationship is conscious, communicative, playful, passionate, and emotionally real. We practice what we guide. We repair. We choose honesty over comfort.

And it’s from these lived realities that Oblige Your Soul emerged – not as a method, but as a devotion – to live, love, and grow in alignment.

WHY COUPLE‑LED COACHING MATTERS

Most coaching teaches from one perspective – an idea or model.
We bring two lived perspectives, modeling:
authentic presence
relational safety
embodied awareness
attuned connection in real time.            This accelerates insight, deepens trust, and creates clarity that lasts.

What draws people to her most, though, is her presence. People open up to her effortlessly. She listens with her whole being – kind, grounded, empathic, and deeply attuned.

( Written by John Mark)

Laura is one of the most naturally insightful, intuitive, and quietly powerful people I’ve ever known. Her life has been shaped by a deep desire to live closer to nature, closer to truth, healing, and learning how to live well while healing – not waiting to be finished to enjoy life. Everything she teaches comes directly from how she lives, survives, studies, heals, and cultivates.

Her curiosity about natural living began out of necessity. Breaking her back could have ended her mobility, confidence, or lifestyle – and did for a while, then she explored inward and developed a set of daily embodied practices centered on posture, alignment, and intentional muscle engagement that allow her to move through life with confidence and ease – naturally.

Over time, this work opened unexpected doorways: deeper body awareness, richer pleasure, increased vitality, and a grounded sense of confidence that comes from inhabiting the body rather than fighting it. Laura understands healing as a living process – one that evolves alongside joy, curiosity, and self-trust.

Food sensitivities led her to innovate rather than restrict. She created a delicious line of gluten-, dairy-, and corn-free chocolates that filled a niche no one else was addressing. When aging became a curiosity, she explored natural liftwork and face yoga, creating all-natural face and body butters as an extension of her philosophy.

Everything she touches becomes a healing art.

The calm and peace she carries doesn’t come easily; they are earned every day through years of ongoing personal healing from childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and workplace harassment. She does not present herself as “finished”, but as someone deeply committed to listening, adjusting, and honoring her needs as they arise.

Laura doesn’t just understand transformation.

She embodies it.

As a Life, Couples, and Embodiment Coach, Laura offers safety, realism, and compassion. She doesn’t promise perfection.

She models what it looks like to heal and live fully at the same time – and reminds others that they are allowed to do the same.

John Mark

( Written by Laura)

John Mark is one of the most inspiring, open-hearted, and deeply curious people I’ve ever met. He has a gift for understanding people – their patterns, shadows, fears, and brilliance – and helping them feel instantly safe, understood, and seen in their truest form.

His problem-solving skills and expansive mindset encourage people to think in new directions, reconnect with their authentic selves, and align with their path in life.

His life has been filled with challenging learning opportunities and rich, meaningful experiences that shaped him into the coach he is today.

He has started and run multiple successful businesses, including a 25-year design studio with his former partner, a social-good enterprise that has supported non-profits for nearly two decades, and a non-profit initiative that created jobs in developing countries and funded clean water projects that changed real lives.

Following his heart has led him into a deeply fulfilling life – teaching in Kenya, Suriname, Honduras, and the Philippines; homeschooling and unschooling his children for 18+ years; selling everything to travel with them in a tiny home trailer he built; living off the land on a farmstead; living out of a backpack while working remotely; and living in an intentional community in an off-grid school bus. Through all of it, he searched for – and found – what is real, what matters, and who he truly is.

His adventures are endless: cycling across Europe, kayaking remote regions of Patagonia, hiking in Thailand and Nepal, snowboarding mountains across North America, motorcycling through Asia. But what impresses me most is not the list itself – it’s who he became through all of it. His capacity to grow. To question everything. To rise through hardship. To heal.

After a 25-year marriage ended, he didn’t close his heart – he rebuilt it. He chose healing over bitterness, expansion over shutdown, and alignment over fear. He created a safe, sacred space for deep intimacy, honesty, and communication – the very space where our connection was able to flourish.

As a Life, and Couples Coach, he brings wisdom, compassion, open-mindedness, curiosity, and grounded presence into every conversation. His perspectives and life experience allow him to guide individuals and couples alike through their inner landscapes, helping them uncover their truth, deepen connection, and grow with clarity – all while being challenged lovingly into growth.

John Mark doesn’t just coach people.

He guides people and couples back to their truest, most authentic selves..

That’s why we were able to find each other – not as broken people needing to be fixed, but as two healing, whole humans meeting with open hearts. We built a relationship rooted in authenticity, honesty, desire, and deep emotional safety.

We didn’t find each other by accident.

We found each other because we each chose healing.

Individually, we walked long roads of self-inquiry, embodiment, grief, truth-telling, and unlearning. We learned how to listen to our bodies, honour our boundaries, face our shadows, soften our defences, and come home to ourselves.

Only then were we able to recognize one another – not from need, not from fantasy, but from alignment.

Our relationship is not perfect. It is conscious. It is communicative. It is emotionally safe, playful, passionate, and deeply real. We practice what we guide. We repair. We listen. We choose truth over comfort.

Oblige Your Soul was born from this lived experience – not as a method, but as a devotion to living and loving in alignment.

Together, we guide individuals and couples to:

  • understand themselves with compassion
  • communicate with clarity and heart
  • heal old wounds that limit intimacy
  • step into their authentic expression
  • connect deeply – emotionally, physically, and energetically
  • cultivate relationships that feel safe, passionate, and real
  • live in alignment with their purpose, desires, and natural rhythms

Our work blends lived experience, embodied wisdom, natural movement, nervous system grounding, relational communication, soulful exploration, and the playfulness that comes from being fully alive.

We are here to help people align with who they are – and to help them create the kind of love and life that feels like home.
